Before the Horizon

A small town is forgetting itself. The only proof of what it used to be is a handful of old photographs.

the town, the way it was

The game

In Before the Horizon, memories and reality itself are slowly being rewritten. Streets change. People forget. You and your friends start to notice what's missing.

The truth is hidden in physical photographs, the last record of the town as it once was. Find them, piece together what happened, and decide what to do with what you've found.

Share the photos and save your shared past, or tear them up and keep the truth buried.

The studio

“I've had game ideas for years that never went anywhere. Eventually I realised the only way they'd exist was if I sat down and built them myself. So I started a studio.”

Sugura, founder

  • Stories worth remembering

Worlds with real history and lore, the kind you keep thinking about after you've stopped playing.

  • Choices that stick

What you decide changes the world, and it stays changed. No choice is just for show.

  • Built with players

We share work early and listen to the people playing it. Feedback from the community shapes what we make.

Questions

When is Before the Horizon coming out?

There's no release date yet while the game is in active development. The Discord is where behind-the-scenes updates go first.

How much will your games cost?

Between £10 and £25, depending on how long the game is. We aim for at least an hour of play for every £1 you spend.

What platforms will it be on?

PC first. We're open to other platforms later on.

Are you looking for people to help?

Yes. We're looking for volunteers who want to help build the game so we can release it sooner. Message us on Discord or send an email.

How can I support the game?

Talk about it. Join the Discord, share updates with your friends, and tell people what you think. For a small studio, word of mouth matters most.
